We went for Sunday lunch it was okay. The vegetables slightly over done overall good. One major gripe I have is dont ask for a baby high chair they dont have one.. I was told they never have had either in all the time they served food.. slightly odd when its a family style pub. Taking that aside friendly staff. Could also do a visit from Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
Cozy setting with traditional low ceilings and exposed rafters. Food is really good although it's a little on the priceier side, the additional cost is worth the quality, the bar area is dog friendly which is nice. The restaurant is well laid out considering the space available. Staff are very helpful and service is very good. The only negative is that due to the age of the building it is not very baby or wheel chair friendly with a few changes of level making it difficult to get prams or wheel chairs in though the staff are happy to help with this.
Our food was freshly prepared and served by our very pleasant waitress. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency, so our lunch was overtaken by paramedics and the hospital. However, I'd like to say the staff were fantastic. They did all they could to keep us feeling reassured and nothing was too much of a problem. Thank you for your kindness. Your boss should know what kind of people he/she has working for them and be extremely proud.
Excellent food and service. Busy bar but enough staff to cope. It would have been 5 stars if the opening hours were longer!!
I have just finished my roast dinner with my son and girlfriend and wondered why such a wonderful venue with such great food and vibrant staff did not have more comments posted about how fantastic it is. Five stars for a great day out. Well done.
